What is Ubuntu Electronics Remix?

Ubuntu Electronics Remix (UER) is a derivative of Ubuntu aimed at users using electronics software. UER is mainly meta packages that install software from the Ubuntu repository with some additional packages for documentation and software not available in Ubuntu.

UER is a maintained by the UER community and distribution part of the main Ubuntu project.

Who is UER aimed at?

Anyone wishing to do electronics work on Linux / Ubuntu.

Why a LiveDVD?

The LiveDVD allows new users to try UER without needing to install Ubuntu. Such as hobbyist new to Linux and school and colleges looking for alternative electronics software.
