More about what is Ubuntu Electronics Remix

Ubuntu Electronics Remix (UER) is Ubuntu with electronics software. The project has 5 goals.

  1. Make using Ubuntu for electronics easy.
  2. Help promote the use of open source software for Electronics.
  3. Produce a Live CD with electronics software.
  4. Provide short “Getting Started” tutorial using Ubuntu for electronics design.
  5. Help maintain Ubuntu electronics packages.

What you will find here

The aim of this site it to make electronics design on Ubuntu easy. You will find a list of electronics software available in Ubuntu and a list of Tutorials on how to get started with these. The information on this site is focused on the current version of Ubuntu and the version of electronics software available for it. However most information will work on earlier and newer versions and were possible and difference are mentioned.
